[Lyon's got a special envelope for her in the mail today from the town... it's her regain reward for having participated in that horrible population control game from the week before.  She spends a bit of time staring at it, wondering whether this is going to be another dirty Godwin plot trick of the town or not, but eventually opens it.  There is a single piece of paper inside with the following symbol on it:



After a moment and a bright flash of light, the symbol is gone from the paper but now adorns Lyon's right hand.  She clenches and unclenches her fist, and the rune glows with a soft white light before disappearing.]

Hello, everyone.  It's Lyon.  I got my Shield Rune back in the mail today.  Did any of the rest of you get any weapons or runes back from home?  I think it would be a good idea if we all shared what we've got so we can be prepared if the town does something again.

You got one too, huh? [She waves her right hand, which is also adorned with a shield rune, and grins. 8Db] See, the town can be nice to us sometimes~

[Yay, she's so happy! Lyon smiles and holds up her hand. The Rune glows again~]

Looks like we both got the same rune. That should make it easier to defend our friends the next time the town decides to do something.

Mm, I got my runes back a while ago! They've come in really handy, especially when someone I know manages to get a concussion or something... [Grin. SO HAPPY~] But as long as the town doesn't take them all away again, we should be okay!

I wonder what they sent me this time? [She peers inside the mailbox curiously and starts counting on her fingers.] I have my runes, my clothes, my daggers...

Cyclone and Rage, so I can do it all now! Healing, blowing stuff up, the works~

--Ooh, what's this? [She reaches into the mailbox and pulls out a small package. It has her name on it! She carefully pulls it open, deliberately taking her time and making the process ~suspenseful~. ARE YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT, LYON?] I wonder what could be inside!

Hopefully next time we won't have our things taken away from us again, or having all the runes in the world won't make any difference.

[But she brushes that thought aside, trying to remain optimistic as she watches Miakis opening the package.]

That was the first time that's happened to me, so I think we'll be okay next time~

[When she finally finishes tearing the box open, there's a toy boat inside, modeled to look like Raftfleet's flagship, the Dahak. Miakis promptly bursts out laughing.]

I think the bath house has probably spoiled us both. The bathtubs here just don't feel as relaxing.

We have our friends, our runes, a couple of very nice boys living with us~... And you and I can keep an eye on the Prince pretty easily! So there are a few bright sides, believe it or not~
